Walmart Will Be Closing 6 Stores Starting Next Week

Walmart will close its Lincolnwood, Illinois, pickup-only facility on Feb. 17. The business told CBS 2 that the "decision was not made lightly and was reached

"As this is a pickup and delivery only location, we have taken what we learned from this location and applied it to our surrounding stores,

Walmart will close two additional Chicago stores—Homewood and Plainfield—after Lincolnwood. The retailer said the locations will close by 

March 10 due to financial issues. No single cause shuts a store, and our choice is based on multiple considerations."

The removal is a "big hit to the community" because of Walmart's low prices, while others said the store was "always busy."
