Popeyes' 2019 fried chicken sandwich revolutionized the fast food sector, encouraging numerous other brands
follow suit. McDonald's followed suit, as expected. The fast food chain launched Crispy Chicken Sandwiches in February 2021.
The chain is renaming the fan-favorite sandwich the "McCrispy," two years after it was released, elevating it to the level of "Mc"-branded
dishes like Chicken McNuggets and the McFlurry. The chain is also introducing two new chicken sandwich tastes to celebrate its relaunch.
The new Bacon Ranch McCrispy and Deluxe McCrispy will have crispy chicken fillet, applewood-smoked bacon, and Ranch Sauce on a toasted
potato roll. Crêpe-cut pickles are added to the Bacon Ranch McCrispy, while Roma tomatoes and shredded lettuce are added to the Deluxe.

Customers may be sad that the new McCrispy sandwiches are only available for a limited time, but they may take solace in the fact that the 2021 sandwiches
"Earning your 'Mc' is a true McDonald's badge of honor," the brand claimed of the chicken sandwich line.
