Chipotle Is Bringing Back Its Beloved Free Burrito Event

Who says Halloween is just free candy? Chipotle says you can get free burritos.

The Mexican fast-casual business said in a recent news release that its 22-year-old Boorito promotion—

the brand's longest-running tradition—will return to locations as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.

Chipotle Rewards members may get a free $6 entrée at any U.S. Chipotle restaurant from 3 p.m. local time to closing on October 31, following last

year's Roblox-only Boorito promotion. For Halloween, you must dress up to get your burrito. To complete the purchase, open the Chipotle app

Chipotle has more for Halloween. In its "BooReal" campaign, Chipotle is giving 10 customers a year of free burritos to celebrate the Boorito deal's return.

Take a photo of yourself in costume at a Chipotle restaurant on October 31 and upload it to BeReal, a popular social networking platform that

offers members two minutes to post after a daily reminder. Share the BeReal post on Instagram Stories by tagging @chipotle or email sweepstakes@chipotle.com

"Boorito is all about having fun with your friends and enjoying real food in our restaurants," Chipotle's CMO Chris Brandt stated in a news

release. "After two years of celebrating virtually, we're elevating the in-person experience with social activations to unite fans on Halloween."
