Autumn Skincare Tips: 7-Step Fall Skincare Routine

Being careful not to irritate the skin, wash your face gently without pressing too hard to get rid of dirt, makeup, and other things that are on it.

1. USE A HYDRATING CLEANSER

Exfoliating is great for removing dead skin cells and smoothing out the skin, but over-exfoliation can irritate the skin, especially when it is exposed to harsher weather.

2. EXFOLIATE, BUT LESS FREQUENTLY

Face patches are a great way to give your skin a little extra TLC without breaking the bank. There are different types of facial patches, the most common being hydrogel patches.

3. TRY OUT FACE PATCHES

If you want to treat your skin with specific ingredients that work for your skin, serums are great. This is the time of year when your face needs more moisture, so use a serum that does both, like the Dēpology Matrixyl® 3000 Collagen Serum.

4. TREAT YOUR SKIN WITH A HYDRATING SERUM

A lighter moisturizer may have worked for you in the summer, but in the fall, a thicker moisturizer will help protect your face from the cool, crisp air.

5. LATHER ON A THICKER MOISTURIZER

You should still wear sunscreen even if the sun isn't shining as brightly. You can be hurt by UV rays every day of the year, even when it's dark. Every day, make sure you put on sunscreen with at least SPF 30.

6. KEEP WEARING SUNSCREEN

The skincare love doesn't need to stop at the face. You should also moisturize the rest of your body to prevent irritation and dryness caused by colder, drier weather.

7. MOISTURIZE YOUR BODY
