American Airlines adding flights to Hyannis, Nantucket

Beginning on June 5, 2024, American Airlines will begin offering daily summer service between New York's LaGuardia Airport and

Washington Reagan National Airport and Hyannis. The Embraer E175 will be the aircraft that passengers fly on.

According to the airline, "American will be the only global network carrier serving the airport, connecting more than 80 destinations

across North America with one stop to the gateway to Cape Cod." This statement was made in reference to the fact that American will be the only airline

In addition, American Airlines has announced that beginning in June it would begin direct daily seasonal service between LaGuardia and Halifax, 

Nova Scotia, as well as adding direct daily seasonal service between LaGuardia and Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and Bangor, Maine.

On social media, airport authorities tweeted, "We are thrilled to share that American Airlines is expanding its wings to Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard with seasonal service from
