Krispy Kreme Introduces New Coffee Line With Free Donuts

Famous for its glazed yeast doughnuts, Krispy Kreme is investing in coffee. The firm launched a "all-new, improved line" of over two dozen frozen, iced, and hot coffee drinks.

The brand emphasizes "smoother blends, richer roasts [and] better beans," as well as oat milk as a non-dairy drink customization option.

Krispy Kreme is offering a complimentary donut to customers who purchase a new coffee beverage (of any temperature) from September 14-17, in addition to their upgraded coffee menu.

This promotion is in-store, drive-through, and online. For those in the latter category, use the coupon code SWEETDUO during checkout.

Krispy Kreme's effort to enhancing its brand recognition since being bought by JAB Holding Company in 2016—which also owns Peet's, Caribou, and Keurig coffee brands—has evolved.

Krispy Kreme is recognized for its glazed doughnuts, but does not have the same coffee presence as its nearest competitor, Dunkin'.

Krispy Kreme's eight-year investment plan, including beverage menu enhancements, tumbler and mug expansion, and shop redesigns, aims to compete with rivals.

The company started serving pumpkin spice in its brewed black coffee and various hot and cold lattes, but not in cappuccinos.

Note that this free-donut-with-coffee promotion has certain restrictions. Sorry, Krispy Kreme aficionados in Times Square and Puerto Rico, the offer is valid for one redemption at any U.S. store.

The promotion ends on September 17 to receive a free doughnut for dipping in the new roasted beers. Still, there are worse ways to greet fall!
