Taco Bell's Spiciest Menu Item From the '90s is Making a Comeback

"In a past life, the Volcano Menu at Taco Bell was wonderful." "The $5 Volcano box, tacos, burritos, and nachos are all delicious and come with the best lava sauce.

It was agreed upon by more than 1,800 people, and we think they are all thrilled to hear that the Volcano Menu will be back at Taco Bell later this year.

The California-based business said last week that the Volcano Burrito, the Volcano Taco, and the hot and creamy Lava Sauce will be available starting Thursday, June 29. People who have Taco Bell Rewards can get that hot trio on Tuesday, June 27.

The Taco Bell Wiki, which is always full of useful information, says that the Volcano Burrito first appeared in 1995 as a promotion for the movie Congo. In case you missed it, it was kind of like Jurassic Park, but with gorillas.

The menu is known for its spicy tastes, and it has a cult-like following of people who have been begging for it to come back, the company said in a statement.

Social media was full of Taco Bell fans calling for the chain to bring back their favorite foods, from starting petitions to making their own at home. Taco Bell listened, and now this summer is going to be hotter than ever.

There is also a Cheesy Chicken Crispanada being tested by the company in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is something like an empanada. It's a fried pastry filled with cheese and shredded chicken, and it comes with hot ranch sauce on the side.

It's not just Taco Bell that's going through its "discontinued" files. KFC said earlier this month that its famous Double Down sandwich, which has two Extra Crispy filets instead of a bun, would be back.
